Evidence of Noah's Flood
Wow! Just Wow! My husband and I recently took a vacation to New Mexico and I was completely in awe of the beautiful landscape and how quickly the scenery changed from one bend in the road to another! Grasslands, canyons, mountains, desert, woodlands-it was all there in stunningly beautiful form!
While shopping, art museums and history were the norm for tourists, we took advantage of "the path less traveled." The highlight of the trip was hiking up the mountain on an Indian Reservation. The historical information described the formations we were seeing as "millions of years old" and "volcanos covered by the ice age." Knowing from a Biblical standpoint that this was not true, I tried to make sense of the formations in front of me. They were many "mini" volcanic formations but the most unique thing was the little round rock at the top of the triangular structures. How did those get there and last so long?
My interpretation was that when the earth was flooded and the "fountains of the deep" burst open, that these were the sources of the fountains of the deep! As the volcanic lava burst forth, with a torrent of water behind, the lava quickly cooled. When the water stopped and all of the earth was completely submerged, the water petrified the rock. As the water receded, the various layers were formed, the striped horizontal lines in varying colors, and the smooth polished edges were forever preserved to "display the glory of the Lord!" I'm still in awe of the small rocks on top of the triangular structures, as if someone placed a cap on the top of a bottle. And maybe its really not a mystery at all. Maybe God placed the top on the fountain of the deep when enough was enough!
Regardless, it was a beautiful hike up a beautiful treasure found right here in a beautiful country-one nation under God!
